Vokalna akademija Ljubljana appeared in the57th international choir competition »Guido d'Arezzo« in four categories, winning each of them, and in addition also the Grand Prix (photos). Thereby they have qualified, as the first male choir ever, for the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing finale.

Vokalna akademija Ljubljana and maestro Stojan Kuret won the
European Grand Prix for choral singingin Varna on May 15, 2010, as the first male choir ever to compete in the final of the EU Grand Prix for choral singing. Interestingly, for more than a half of our singers this is already the second EU Grand Prix, after the wins of APZ Tone Tomšič conducted by Stojan Kuret (2002) and Urša Lah (2008) - but no one in our group has three wins. Stojan Kuret is the only conductor that has won the EU Grand Prix twice. (News on national TV: Kultura ob 22h, 17. 5. 2010, RTV Slovenija, 4' 26'' - 5' 11'').
